Because we’re in uncharted waters man. Right now this virus doesn’t care about our petty squabbles, so the first order of importance is to survive this, then we can go back to worrying about the rest of it.
I've been watching Cuomo's press conferences. He abandoned politics and is focused on helping the people in NY, the definition of a leader. He's doing a good job and NY will be better off for it. I don't like his politics, but I do like his response to this crisis.
It boggles my mind that we’re facing down a deadly virus, and still all you people think everything is political posturing. Well, everything just changed.
If Cuomo fails then people in his state die. He knows this, and that’s more important than politics right now. The people of New York are depending on him and the President working together, so they’re working together.
For every one Andrew Cuomo, there's 10 Bill DeBlasios remember that pede.
Democrats will take this Kung Flu pandemic and run the 10 yards for more power if it means sticking it to Trump. If it means beating Trump in the general election, they will expend bodies and justify the deaths as a moral good.
The same goes for the RINO's on our side that will sell our citizenship to the highest bidder and kiss the ring of the Chinese if it means their goods flow into the country.
Right now Andrew knows his party has too many people like Sanders, the squad, Sleepy Joes and if he doesnt show leadership...and pave a way for the not so stupid Democrats. The party goes extinct politically...honestly Andrew should just declare himself Independent and work with other not-so-brain dead Democrats to compete directly against the socialist dems.
The hand sanitizer bit was silly, and saying they needed missiles in WWII was dumb, but otherwise, yes Cuomo seems to be doing a good job for his state.
Even though I do not see how this virus is a big enough deal to go into full pandemic mode, at least it is a good learning experience for the real thing should something like ebola or a new type of smallpox ever hit.
This was not worth the panic. Millions are out of jobs, millions more have their retirement savings ruined, and it has absolutely destroyed the economy and (possibly) hurt reelection chances (I hope Americans are smart enough to see through this)
Retirement savings are ruined only if you're selling off. I feel for the people near retirement right now, but if you're decades from retiring, this really should have no major impact unless you're locking in your losses by selling.
Yes, it's depressing to look at the numbers. But that's money I'm not planning on touching for 20+ years. Pretty likely I'll go through 2 or more market crashes like this before I retire. I've upped my investment contributions pretty significantly since this started. Stocks are on sale right now. Maybe I'm making a mistake, but this is exactly what I wish I had done in 2008.
I feel like, even the media over hyping this aside, it was better to overreact than under react, both logically, and with what this will bring about.
Logically because this was a new virus and we really didn't really know the long terms effects and all that. What if this was substantially worse than just a new kind of flu?
What it brings about because people are getting woke af about supply lines with china, and the importance of keeping the border secured. If this leads to the final death of globalism, then I feel like theres a case to be made that it was worth the disruption to our economy.
Andrew Cuomo also btfo his little brother Chris on his own show the other day.
Told the audience that he was his mother's favorite and Chris came second, as always.
Chris was fucking pissed.
Hilarious.
that's a weird way to spell Fredo
good fucking lord! Really? The man said that on live tv? What a damn legend
WTF?! New York is trying to sue Trump everywhich way they can and force out tax returns and such as well. What’s wrong with you people!!!
I give credit where it's due and am easily swayed by the thug life meme.

yeah his response to everything is always far too extreme and frankly dangerous

Maybe it’s political self preservation. Remember that NY is attacking Trump everywhich way in corrupt Judicial avenues.

Wait and see. I’m with you, but better safe than sorry.
As POTUS said, “we can get the economy back, we can’t get people’s lives back.”
True, but it's easier to just make new ones.
Q3 is going to be fire, we'll be fine.

Meh. I moved all my money to a guaranteed interest account until this all blows over. Try to stop.the bleeding
In about a week you’ll see the wisdom in all this. Trust me. GEOTUS hasn’t let us down yet, but this is going to get bad before it gets better.
How have you not been banned yet? All you do is concern troll about the wuflu
Boldly based

It shouldn't pain you. Cuomo is doing a good job - it's why he's Mama Mia's favorite over Fredo. We can say that yet disagree on other things.
