HCQ can be used to prevent infection. That would be my preference, as an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

HCQ is also curative, even for those already severely infected. Comparing S Korea to Italy for both deaths and total infections makes this clear.

So by discouraging people from taking it before they're in a hospital, they're basically dooming people to becoming severely infected, with permanent damage to lungs and possibly other organs.

Both S Korea and China widely used CQ phosphate with excellent results. The stuff that's incorrectly being called "fish tank cleaner." S Korea used 500 mg / day, China used twice that. The people who took it and died probably took at least 2 grams. That's fatal.
