What is an American neighborhood like?

It's mixed, mostly full of diplomats, NATO and expats. We're close knit, there's a store here that sells American name brand goods and a lot of the comforts of home, but there are still a lot of Italians and foreign diplomats that live in the same neighborhood but overall I'd say it's an American neighborhood. The kids ride their bikes to school on their own, there's no crime whatsoever and because it's a important neighborhood for officials it is patrolled 24/7 by our own police force and Italian Army. Totally safe, which makes it fucking hilarious when I get death threats from lefties, they can't even fathom the layers of security I'm behind, I've never lost a wink of sleep from the very specific threats I've recieved.

Life here, even under these draconian rules is better than most of Italy.
