Leftists want EVERYTHING Trump does to fail, even if it means 10’s if thousands have to die. This is how sick they are, just reading twitter replies when the President tours the potential benefits of this well known drug. Him doing everything in his power to treat and limit the spread by removing red tape and fast tracking anything that seems safe and could work. If this was Obama, it’d be the exact opposite response. Liberalism is a terrible disease, and although I think we’re going too far and this is sensationalized and blown way out of proportion; if liberals can’t come together and rally around Trump during this crisis instead of bitching and moan, creating completely false narratives and propaganda, nothing will. A lot of these extreme Democrats, I hate to say it, but they’re enemies of the American people, plain and simple.

We have a lot of local people trying to panic people by saying hospitals are unprepared, millions are going to die, martial law is days away, etc. They are praying (to whatever demon they serve) that there is a massive body count. Even if there isn't they will say that every death is directly Trumps fault.
If the trajectory is left unchanged, US hospitals would be overwhelmed. We see with the Army Corps of Engineers rapid ICU construction, Rolling out of military ventilators etc, that President Trump isn't going to stand by and let things just happen.
This medicine could change the game completely, and leave our hospitals with the capacity to treat both the regular patients and those severely affected by the Chinese Coronavirus.

There’s even reports of potential benefits of kratom (a plant from S.E. Asia, that’s become popular in the US over the past 5 years) where it contains compounds similar to chloroquine, naturally occurring and has been proven to have some immunostimulant properties. Not to hint that it could be some sort of ‘cure all’, but at this point everything should be on the table; thankfully that seems to be Trump’s attitude as well.

Correct, I’m very aware and fine with its downsides, but it’s worth it for everyone else to see, as I didn’t intend to encourage anyone to consider kratom especially without consulting a medical profession. You are right, it can be highly addictive. Physical withdrawal symptoms, although not as bad as a lot of other things, it is something anyone considering it should be very aware of. I appreciate you pointing that out, I should’ve mentioned it’s not extremely well studied and is for the most part, unregulated in this country, I should edit my comment above. Mainly, I just wanted to convey how this administration seems to be open to anything that shows promise as long as it’s safe. Thanks again for adding to that.

I believe you may be making the mistake of believing those with addictive genes experience things like you or I. I can smoke a pack a day for a month and quit cold turkey with no issue. I can use meth, oxy, and heroin with similar "quitability". It's not because of my superior will, it's just genetics.

Giving the treatment as soon as someone tests positive will prevent ICU patients to a large extent. Don't just send positive cases home to isolate, but put them on these drugs, too.

Trump passed the ‘right to try’ act long before this ever happened allowing people to bypass standard regulation and work with doctors to get highly experimental drugs and treatments as a last resort only. Trump further reduced regulation due to CV and pushed the FDA to fast-track this in DAYS. It is still a last resort only and there may be some long-term side effects, but unless one of them are IMMEDIATE DEATH, this is way to go. If this does not work, you move on to the next option ASAP until something works, and you stay optimistic - closure, being depressed, singing ‘imagine’, and any other BS the media is concerned about can wait until AFTER the problem is solved. They are like children in a crisis - they only make it worse and need to stay out of the way.
