I was just reading the comments on Trump's tweet about Plaquenil, and my jaw hit the floor. The amount of misinformation is unbelievable, even from supposed "doctors." I can assure you that Plaquenil is a very safe drug. It can sometimes cause damage to the eyes when taken for long periods of time. I have been on the drug for six years, taking it every day, and have never had a problem. I also have a mother and brother, with similar autoimmune problems, and they both have been on it for years, and also have had zero issues. It is utter bullshit, that people are going to die from the drug!

That's the whole thing feels so dumb to me. Yes, of course we know it has not been tested and proven to kill the Chinese Coronavirus. Tell me something I don't know.
What we do know is these drugs are not new and have been taken by thousands (maybe millions) of people. The interactions and side effects are extremely well known. If it's showing to be effective and the patient is not at risk for any of the side effects, give them the medicine. It's so obvious. If it doesn't work then okay they still have the virus--you know the virus they already had anyway.
Yeah, the sheeple saying "but there haven't been tests yet with Corona" are just retarded. Of course, it's a new, novel virus...They aren't saying Tylenol hasn't been shown effective either, but obviously it's a known drug that can help.
Also, it's the same people that think controlled studies are the ONLY effective studies. They took one science class and pretend that anecdotal evidence is useless. When in reality anecdotal evidence is often the first step to starting larger studies. Also, when experts have acquired years of actual experience, the studies are often just a way to prove what they already can predict. And experts are predicting that these drugs can be effective.
But they rather show doubt than hope.
While it IS true that the plural of anecdote is not data, it does nonetheless jump up and down screaming "look at me"!
But how can we know if we don't do more tests!!!!????
