Yeah, but he didn't do anything more than recognize them, which is where it should've stopped. But no... That total douche, Jimmy Carter, went further and withdrew recognition from the actual legitimate government, Taiwan. That shouldn't have happened, either, as you'll see why, below. We recognize Iran and N. Korea, too, but we wouldn't dream of trading with them because it invigorates them.

But, it was Clinton who boosted billions in fungible assets into China by promoting a prestigious trading status with them, selling strategic assets like naval bases and port facilities and giving them access to our high tech. Clinton did that. And, it's actually far worse than that:

In the '70s, our enviro-nazi treehuggers like the Sierra Club, pressured Congress into offshoring our "dirty factories" to places like S. Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. They sold it to the public by claiming that the corporate headquarters would all still be here, as well as the Wall St. trading income.

But, two horrific and "unforseen" things happened: 1) without factory jobs, our middle class collapsed, and 2) S. Korea, Japan and Taiwan proceeded to ship our factories off to China. China started producing the products that we used to make in our own factories with our own Americans, and then sold it back to us with MFN trading privileges! And outrageously, China began to acquire a booming middle class, while ours ended up as marginalized, toothless crackheads on welfare.
