Well, this is disappointing. David Goldman, i.e. Spengler, is usually very insightful and is generally a brilliant analyst. He has also followed China for years, and I am stunned that he has penned this ridiculous article. To trust that the Chinese actually have a "remarkable achievement" in "containing" and bringing to a halt, this insidious creation of theirs, stretches credulity.
