What is needed for Houston isn't necessarily needed for Paris (,Texas).

If Abbott does anything, I think it should be guidance like:

  • Do you have any confirmed cases? Impose a medium set of restrictions/
  • Do you have significant community spread? Impose a more restrictive set.

A variation of the above would be to add the qualifier: "within 50 miles". Beyond that, it's not likely to migrate to you quickly.

My shitass Governor of Nottingham (Louisiana) didn't seem to have a problem with it. Louisiana has the fastest growing population of coronavirus inffectees in the nation. SO sayeth the Gubner. Not clear on whether those were confirmed or presumptively confirmed.
