The death toll dropped from 790 to 630, but the number of cases increased by 10% in one day.

They're on pace to have over 100,000 cases by thet weekend. Currently at 64,000.

Mortality rate increased from 8% to 9.5%

Not sure this is the good news you think it is - especially when New York City is becoming the new Italy. Over 20,000 cases now. 25%+ increase overnight.
