Yeah, they're currently reporting the same statistics from Virginia Department of Heath, but they also sourced a death reported by local news this morning that hasn't been updated on the government website yet. There's always going to be some data lag, but they seem to be on the ball.
I’m sure they are all “best guesstimates” and subject to error, but I’d assume they are as accurate as can be expected. It’s still very easy for a region or country to just suppress/alter their numbers if they chose to, and trick the world. But there is not much that can be done about that.

I ask because it seems they love doomsday stats (check Environment, Food, Water, Energy)
