I think it's clear people realize they are shooting in their own foot at this point. Democrats don't care because they indulge in living with the backing of mainstream media, so they act recklessly and openly. This just further fuels their downfall.
We’re walking a fine line here. Many people are scared to go outside, and if they’re forced back out before we have a firm grip on the virus, we’ll have a demoralized population who are scared of everything they touch. Then if the virus starts peaking badly again, and we need another shutdown, it looks like we reacted too early, simply for the sake of the economy.
And that will be the worst outcome for GEOTUS, appearing to care about money more than life. The media will destroy him with that, so he has to be really careful.
But it looks like these new drugs will give us a level of confidence that we can get back to work without dropping dead (thanks media), and then GEOTUS looks like the hero. He destroyed his perfect economy to save the people of this country, and only when he knew we would be safe again he sent us back to work.
That last part is how you make the McGovern loss in 1972 look like a nail-biter.
