Was it even the same chemical? There can be multiple chemicals that contain chloroquine and there could have been other ingredients in that cleaner. Sodium is in sodium chloride AKA salt which is perfectly safe to ingest, but sodium hypochlorite which also contains sodium is what we know as bleach and will kill you if ingested.

I think they used chloroquine diphosphate since it was the most commonly available.

It’s hard to believe people are dumb enough to ingest a chemical that sounds similar to what may work for treating tecate virus and comes in a bottle that probably states it’s recommended use is cleaning fish tanks.

I am shaking my head.

It is the same chemical as what was used in China. However, the recommended dosage is 500mg. Good luck measuring 500mg a dose without knowing what you are doing.
