This madness needs to end, Desantis is taking heat from all sides because he doesn't want to play tyrant like some other Governors.

I was surprised he didn’t put the kibosh on Spring Break activities but overall I agree. I mean the whole point of Spring Break is immediate contact with other people...and drunk off your ass doing it.

Since hydroxychloroquine may be effective at preventing the replication of most dsRNA viruses, it could be effective at preventing herpes and HPV.

It's a tie between Florida and Bree Larson's ass.

Have you been to the midwest? We basically have a steady 6 inch rise East to West every 100 miles. You guys are spoiled with your hills, but tbf they are barely that.

So many people not smart enough to notice. I watched the county court here on Sunday they were trying to decide about furthering restrictions. There's all these clowns calling in for comment that people were flooding the malls and the beaches were crowded and we need to put a stop to it. Uh, we don't have beaches here. The malls have been closed for a few days now.

They issued a stay at home order now. It's basically the exact same order except it says to "stay at home" now. I'm sure the libs will eat it all up as they have won for a few days before they call for martial law because someone is walking outside on the sidewalk alone.

All of Florida is approximately 0 meters above sea level right?

3
Liberty4All 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not quite! The highest point in FL is 105m above sea level, but that is well inland.

There are large areas of the state near the coasts and in South Florida that are very flat and 5m or less above sea level, and a whole lot more of the state that is <10m below sea level.

There are no hills (other than sand dunes, golf courses, and landfills) anywhere near the coast of Florida.

What's with all this "muh martial law" fake news going around?

Are there really fucking TANKS in New York?

xBigCoffinHunter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lol I saw that.

The only picture I have seen is a picture of a bunch of black vans, and a lot of military/national guard going into/coming out of in a NYC street.

My friend sent me a picture of a LA interstate with tanks on it, though.

But hospitals are packed so it must be real! Ohhh...hospitals are packed with people who are scared they have it but apparently 94% don't, so literally the fear about hospitals being overrun was a self fulfilling prophecy. Source: conservativetreehouse

I saw that guy from HI doing his report and came away with the feeling that Urgent Care is stealing tax money like crazy.

Their local news staged a huge crowd of people drive-in testing, but in reality there was nobody there. Nobody.

5
thisisatestof2 5 points ago +5 / -0

I saw someone driving by this huge line of cars waiting to get tested in tears crying about "OMG look how serious this is." A later report indicated that at least 90% of those were turned away because they just panicked and showed up when they hear it opened and never had any symptoms, contact with a know positive person, etc.

I mean hell, if you just look at the numbers of people that have it. How could that many extra people in the system be overloading things right now? It doesn't make sense, and no one is asking that question.

dakin116 14 points ago +14 / -0

Seriously, maybe in NYC where nearly half of all cases are. They are an absolute special case with the unique living/commuting situation in that city. Most of america is single family homes where that kind of spread just won't happen.

Personally think this is still overblown, 400,000 cases with 6,000,000,000 people in the world and this has been going on for months now

We've had to go to the ER twice in our life and it was chock full of dumbasses. Don't you think with all the communist propoganda in the news its loaded to the gills?

6
MM_soap 6 points ago +6 / -0

Packed with illegals, 'cause they go to ER instead of doctor.

Blacktaxi2d 13 points ago +14 / -1

i trust want desantis is doing. he ran on a trumpian campaign and has shown so far to be a good voice of reason with policy. unfortunately i think you will see florida mayors making most of the calls locally and it will be completely partisan and not as intelligent as desantis's response

patriotmaga 9 points ago +9 / -0

Local decisions have made sense. Small and quiet counties with little to no spring break activities don't need to close any beaches. Miami Beach did the right thing, dumb ass 19 year olds are gonna be dumb ass 19 year olds.

2
ApprenticeParty 2 points ago +2 / -0

Mayor of Tampa expected to close everything.

Already closed basically empty beaches that nobody goes to anyways. They've spread their clown world timeline into ours.

DeSantis is handling this whole thing quite well. He's been a stellar governor.
