Actually of all the stupid things in there, this is the one I care least about. The post office dept was required by stupid left authored law to have like 50 years of pensions prepayed for so they are perpetually in debt. This makes it harder for them to compete with Fedex, UPS, and the like. The mail system is important to a functing republic in that its a guaranteed method of commmunication backed by the government that is available to all. Important for offical communications and in case of emergencies.
So post office is in debt because of a dumb law, and having congress pay for that isn't terrible, in the best case the pre payed pension law will be reformed but I would accept paying that debt as a comprise if that is all they wanted.
However, the whole ask was bullshit and Dems didn't want any of it really, they just want to kill the bill to pervent giving Trump a win because they are that narcissistic and power hungry.
The post office employs the most veterans out of any company in America. Everyone that I know that works with me is based as fuck. Obviously there's one or two feminists who are retarded but statistically speaking majority of us voted for Trump.
Now Post Office MANAGEMENT on the other hand is a different story.
PS the only reason the Post Office has a negative budget is because we're forced to pay for health coverage of employees WHO HAVENT EVEN BEEN BORN YET. We are mandated to pay 75 years into the future. Without this insane bill then we are profitable.

My relatives are lifelong postal employees. It is dysfunctional, unorganized and most importantly unsecure. You could pull up right to the loading dock and drop off a pickup truck of ballots.
