I see your comment below as well, so I’ll just ask my question here- has WHO come out with a new fatality rate? Cuz, I’m pretty sure they were way off.
Updated data would be nice. That data will vary by location, at minimum. The mitigation measures have worked where implemented, which should lower the number. The name of the game was closing borders first, which the USA has been semi-successful with.
It is more contagious, but your numbers are misleading. You are talking about "reported" cases. Currently in the USA, mortality rate is 1.2% based on reported cases. MOST people are not reporting they have it. So it is substantially less than 1.2%
With the flu each you, all the numbers you are seeing not on reported cases. Just estimates such as 30 million people get the flue and 30,000 die from it. But the difference here is that 30 million people are not getting a confirmed result of flu.
The reported/unreported critique is fair, but also applies to COVID-19 as well. It's only proven dangerous to the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions. Most people show no symptoms but could transmit to at-risk people. That's why mitigation measures are in effect. The low fatality rate is a sign of mitigation success, not that it mitigation isn't needed. The goal will be to see hospital capacity freed up, which is a struggle within more populated areas.
COVID-19 is indeed far more lethal, but it is not as contagious as the flu, at least according to the WHO. The decision to resume normal life, to whatever degree, is much more nuanced than these CNN types would like to think it is.
I assume your data comes from Alex Jones? Even the CDC acknowledges that COVID-19 is more lethal than the flu, but doesn't assign percentage values since lethality varies by location and patient age.
hahahahahahahahahaha
do we actually have any evidence that it's more letham than any other flu? (I'm thinking influenza here)
people get sick and die . . . welcome to life, Alarmists
We do. Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected.

is that 3.4% figure credible though?
Any numbers we get from China are obviously questionable, as are the Italian stats
