I think we need to take a hard look at foreign aid. I don't think I'll ever not support sending aid to poor countries to, let's say, fight malaria - we have the richest economy in the world & do have a bit of a social responsibility to do so. However, on the flip side of that, we give billions of dollars away every year to countries who are not our friends & will never support us in a crisis - many of whom can sustain themselves without our help, but will gladly take the handout.
