Florida governor Ron DeSantis is warming up to the idea of statewide curfews.

At what point does a free people get pushed to before they feel that it's their right to decide their own fate, and not the government's?

Beaches are closed, bars and restaurants are closed, mayors are complaining about reports of people meeting in large groups in their homes... I certainly want to stay healthy, but government isn't going to do that for me and my family or anyone else's.

While I sympathize with those who are affected, it has become glaringly obvious that our local governments across the country sure get a kick out of flexing their muscles.

It's beginning to look like most Americans (except those on reddit) have had enough of being told what to do.

New Yorkers are fleeing to Florida bringing you the virus.

I don't mind taking my chances against the virus, it's the socialism that New Yorkers bring that I'm most concerned with.

I WISH this was the case. In San Antonio the entire city is cheering because we've been told to stay home. Get this - you can go to an AA meeting...but not to church.

The squeaky wheels get the grease. I've seen the message boards too, the ones with the most fear have the loudest voices. If only they knew what faith the size of a mustard seed could do...

Who are the ones wanting everything shut down?

  • Do they have bills to pay?
  • Do they have enough toilet paper?
  • Do they want to watch the world burn?

How about this: if you're afraid of catching Covid-19 or anything else, then stay home. Have your food and water delivered and don't have any contact with people anymore.

For those of us who want to live our own lives, not give into our fears and don't mind a little calculated risk, let us make our own decisions.
