Got a question that I feel embarrassed for asking. Is it actually "r/redacted" or the name itself is redacted because we shall not speak of that subreddit ever? And to the latter part, is it actually politics?
A few years back reddit got its panties in a bunch because T_D users kept posting “r/politics” and other r/‘s that would link directly to other subs. The mods and admins claimed it was harassment and braiding and suggested T_D mods remove any comments that linked outside the r/The_Donald. So T_D users started using r/redacted instead.
it was also a joke because many headlines with tens of thousands of upvotes (just like today) end up being redacted or edited because of lies and omissions in them for clickbait a day or two later.
