I heard that new math was ineffective at teaching math and analytical skills. Boomer generation goes to 1964. 1979-1964 = 15 years. By any definition, that is still a kid. You cannot blame all of the 1970's on people who were less than 10 years old when the decade began, unless you are, of course, a math and fact challenged zoomer.
