I heard that new math was ineffective at teaching math and analytical skills. Boomer generation goes to 1964. 1979-1964 = 15 years. By any definition, that is still a kid. You cannot blame all of the 1970's on people who were less than 10 years old when the decade began, unless you are, of course, a math and fact challenged zoomer. I would suggest that you buy yourself a mirror and spend some time looking at the person who can make your life better, rather than blaming other people for your apparent lack of happiness.
If you were born in the 50s, you were in your 20s. That's not "still a kid"
