Because the future King of England is constantly travelling and meeting people... And I know I am not your friend, but my sister and her fiance (in NYC) and my neighbor (in DC) all got this.

Also, a lot of us have probably had it and didn’t know! 100% positive the mystery illness my mom’s co-worker had around Christmas was COVID-19. Symptoms exactly like it and no doctor could figure it out (negative for the usual suspects, like influenza).

So I agree with you that a lot of people are likely asymptomatic carriers, but at the same time, we haven't seen a spike in elder hospitalizations until very recently. Given how contagious this disease appears to be, and how deadly it is for older people, I highly doubt that this was widespread until recently...

I can either be highly infectious or not. Can’t have it both ways If it was as highly infectious as it is supposed to be but CCP was covering it up for months, then it already has been everywhere.

Someone knows a bit about molecular biology!

I’ve been thinking maybe it went around in December. It’s coming back around now and has antibody-dependent enhancement so that’s why governments are freaking out about it. Most people probably have the antibodies for it already

Yep, my boss and his wife both got super sick in the beginning of January. Went to the doctors and doctors couldn't figure out what it was either.

That's me, too. Sick as I've ever been in my life, early Jan. Negative for influenza, Dr said she was shocked.

Also not everybody who works in Buckingham palace sleeps there. Some are servants who might ride the tube in to work or have other contact with the hoi polloi. Then they touch the banister of a staircase inside the palace and Charles also happens to touch it.

Thank you! They are doing fine--they are in their 30s and healthy, so symptoms for them were (in their words) like the worst flu they've ever had, but they fully recovered in about a week. But they were also supposed to get married this past weekend. Thank goodness we postponed the wedding--who knows what would have happened had we gathered all of our elderly relatives together! Keep yourself and your loved ones safe!

That's exactly my point though. It's obvious common sense. The Brits aren't retards and have a competent (if not corrupt, like any) intelligence community. They probably knew about this shit in December or certainly January, why is the heir assumptive galavanting around?

I get that, but you would think that considering he is heir to the last somewhat relevant throne in Europe they would surely use a portion of their massive wealth to, say, keep him from shaking hands with people or touching things? Does his security not enforce a perimeter around him anyway? I mean didn't they used to have even a "groomer of the stool"? How are they not employing basic measures in addition to the best preventative measures money can buy? I'm not saying the virus is fake, but that Charles got it after British intelligence knowing about it for months probably is pretty weird. No secret most people don't like Charles, maybe they're trying to go right from ol Liz to Bill

Maybe, but GEOTUS hasn't stopped shaking hands, so maybe not? Also, the incubation period can be up to 2 weeks, so it's possible that he contracted this before we were really taking this seriously.

Nobody really wants him to be king, I kind of wonder if his mom is trying to outlive him.
