Don't forget about what they can do to you in a hospital. I had surgery and was nearly killed because the nurse "forgot" to put me on oxygen for the night after the procedure.

Luckily a family member reminded them and refused to leave until I was fitted with it.

The next morning I woke up to my hand swollen to the size of a soft ball and the Nurses would not do anything about it until my Surgeon was consulted.

My family member arrived early and looked at it and said that the I.V. needle had been drawn back and placed into the surrounding tissue and out of the vein.

That and I did not get breakfast and was handed a bed pan when asked to be walked to the bathroom.

Once they Nurses realized my family member was a licensed medical professional they evaporated. Never saw one again until I was released around noon.

Why? My Surgeon said that the short and fat nurses... were not going to tolerate a tall and fit, pretty blonde on "their" floor. He said he was happy I made it out alive.
