Testing stats as of about 10:00am this morning (U.S. only):

Total Tests - 359,161

Negative - 292,758 (81.51%)

Positive - 51,970 (14.47%)

Pending - 14,443 (4.02%)

So out of people they think might have it, only 15% do. Much lower in the general population which is going to include more asymptomatic cases. This is looking more overblown by the second. They were warning 2-4 million deaths in the US alone.

Out of all of the people who think they have it and present to the tester with the appropriate symptoms and conditions.

And, yes...death rate (fatalities as a % positive testing) is currently 1.3%, or .00019% of the U.S. population (using current 698 deaths to 360M).

This source reports more deaths - 802, and makes the rate .00022%, but that site has historically reported much larger numbers than any of the other 3 sources I have, including the CDC.
