TERRORISM.

Now terrorist will use bio-weapons to try to attack our country because they know our response and know how bad it can hurt us economically and how that affects our national security.

This shit has to stop, otherwise it will become a common occurrence.

I agree. Which is why I have a feeling that Boarder Security is going to be even more of a hot button issue than it was before. We are going to see a massive crack down on immigration.

This is already terrorism. Whether from China, the Deep State, or both, I'm not sure, but it's terrorism. We're passing their political goals this very moment.

Trump is getting some punches in though, and they don't like it one bit. I feel like he has turned this around on them. Such as, closing borders, private sector involvement, relief for private sector, lowering interest rates, payroll taxes, approval high, etc.. Good things are being accomplished. Trump won't allow the dems to slip in anything that will hurt us.

Yeah, I keep saying it could still go either way. I hope you're right.

Yup. We the People just got raped. $13,000 per federal tax paying household if my math is correct.

But what about organizations like ISIS or Al-Queda?

Still a threat, but tiny compared to the Deep State.

Who do you think paid for and directed Al Quaeda and ISIS? Wake up!

The sad fact is, terrorists won't need to engineer any sci/fi bioweapon because novel viral mutations are a common occurrence. There's been an outbreak every few years as far back as we have history. It's kind of what viruses are known for.

All it took to shut down the USA was the FEAR of a sci/fi viral outbreak. Our biggest weakness is panic. Or as the saying goes, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself".

Which is why we should never react like this again unless the mortality rate is much higher.

I totally agree. The problem is, where do you get a mortality rate from? The danger isn't from "terrorists" in the classic sense of the word. The danger is from the entrenched bureaucracies with nothing to do but "simulate" worst case scenarios in a lonely office all day and sensationalist 24/7 media outlets preaching doom and gloom, and hundreds of millions of social media muppets regurgitating some teenager's copypasta as though it's proven fact.

More than anything else, what we as a society really need is a massive shift in the general populace's eagerness to believe whatever they see on TV or the internet and act like every little challenge is literally the end of the world.

This happening now is a good thing

It's opened everyone's eyes on the huge dependance of the western world on China for drug and medical supply manufacture; big parts of these industries will come home, which is great for the economy as well as general national security concerns

On top of this, after this blows over and the overreaction is clear, it will provide a good upper bound on how bad the reaction gets

The Media hyped the shit out of it for ratings and to tear down Trump. they don't care if it takes America with it. Actually, I shouldn't say that. They would love it it took America with it, as they all hate capitalist America.

Uhhh.. bud... I hate to be the one that breaks it to you, but the shutdown is pretty much already happening... We're more or less in the midst of it right now. Of course is going to get better or worse in some states but, yeah...

As far as your post is concerned the cat is, unfortunately, already out of the bag, my friend.
