China's "actual official story" now is that the virus was made in a lab in the US and released in China by the US Army to frame them for causing the outbreak. If we had a sane MSM, they'd be pointing out how ludicrous China's communist party line is, but I'm sure our communist MSM will parrot it instead because they hate Trump and they hate America.
So they are in essence admitting that the whole "came from a meat market" story had absolutely no evidence and was a lie? Because they can't have it both ways. And if the meat market story is a lie, then the absolute best explanation is that the virus is linked to the infectious disease lab in Wuhan.
Whatever genome the researchers were screwing around with in the Wuhan lab, probably came from an animal at the wet market, then got out of their control and infected the researchers before they could contain the virus. That's the story I believe is true.
Wasnt the director of the Wuhan 4 lab convicted for selling experimental animals in that market and other markets in the region? He embezzled like 1.2 million and was sentenced to 8-10 years. I'm sure those stories have been scrub, let me see if I can find a link
I now believe the meat market myth has a partial basis in truth. The virus was being studied in the lab, and someone who worked there sold infected bats (not sure if they were dead or not at the time) to the market because in a totalitarian society, you do whatever you can to make a little extra money on the side.
In other words, it came from the market and the lab.
In third world shithole countries? Absolutely. There's a common attitude all around the world, except the West, that it's okay to screw anybody out of anything to get ahead for you and your family. Throw in a command economy where freedoms are restricted, and a relationship with food cleanliness a San Francisco bum would recoil from, and you've got a crucible for plague.
