It sure is.

I used to pussy foot around, being acquiescent to just about everyone, hoping that being agreeable would help me get along with people better, and basically make every relationship smooth sailing.

What I found is that people have contempt for you when you are nice to them without cause. It's really strange because you would think they respect you more, be nicer back, etc. Nope. They actually treat you worse.

So now I'm just really candid with everyone. I'm still polite when I meet someone for the first time, but now if I disagree with someone, I don't keep it a secret.

Being a Trump supporter really toughens you up. We're already hated, so who gives a shit if telling the truth will make you more hated. You hate me anyway.
