Speaking from authority I can say that the President (and only him) is being briefed by the upper echelons of US Intelligence agencies on the Coronavirus emergence. He can’t repeat what is being conferred but he does elude to it by his verbiage and actions. My intuition tells me that the virus and/or China’s insipid response was orchestrated so that it would spread outside its borders - he knows this hence his barely contained anger when referring to China. Second example is his enthusiastic promotion (correct imo) of Hydroxychloroquine in the face of medical advisor recalcitrance.
The US is blessed to have this man and I believe that your Intelligence community now his back, albeit after a ideological struggle that was eventually won by his supporters.
I agree, Pede.
agreed, i see it in nearly every presser
IC "has DJT's back?" The hell you say! They'd stab him in the back literally and figuratively as often as possible because they're treasonous bastards.
10’s of thousands of operators work in the NSA alone, they are not a block in relation to political affinity or philosophical positioning. Trump would’ve caused an almighty schism when he was elected, believe me.
Fair enough. These 20,000 + employees aren't the upper echelon though. One would hope the bulk of the rank and file is apolitical, and loyal to oath rather than party.
The upper echelon will do what when DJT moves to do what needs to be done: re-negotiate the perverse deal between the Fed and our US Treasury? That would strip the real elite of their cash cow.
From my experience, in my country, I found the same ideological trends that we see in society as a whole today. It was some time ago so you did have the ‘loyal to country’ group but they were in the Conservative category. As for anyone considered vaguely ‘left’ they were in the minority and quietly ostracised.
35 years down the track (2008 - 2016) I believe the ascendancy shifted to the left. Thankfully, the foreign policy adopted by our respective countries post 2016 suggests the balance has shifted once again in favour of Conservatives. Overall, however, I would say that operatives have more loyalty to their agency than anything else, the concept of “loyalty to country” would be considered a quaint notion. The rise of Nationalism may change that in coming years.
As for your Fed, that issue deserves a thread of its own.
I can agree with your observations. With the qualifier that any US civil servant has to pledge to uphold the Constitution, which is very clearly an oath of loyalty to Country above whatever agency they may be part of, and especially if they violate law. Which the CIA was designed to do.
Our Fed indeed deserves a lot more than just a thread! Not all our money, plus interest, and everything our currency has ever been used to buy though.
Is our Fed really any different from any other central bank around the world?
It's these "rank-and-file" that enrage me the most by not whistle-blowing or doing a damned thing to expose their corrupt co-workers. They took an oath.
They also agree to abide by legally binding ‘Secrets’ conventions that bring with them terrible consequences should an operative divulge intelligence information.
I'm glad you identified it as an intuition, and not a fact. I agree with a lot of what you said. Still not convinced it was intentional. Grave mishaps have been known to benefit the one who screwed up sometimes. The cover up, however was criminal.
The cover up includes not to telling the world that HCQ is the cure. As well as covertly buying up the world's supply of PPE.
The Obummer administration made sure to deplete our PPE during swine flu and not replenish any of it.
Yes. And worse! He had CDC study gun violence, get all off its mission, then swept the results under the rug when it didn't say what he wanted.
It is true that Trump did not tackle this on day 1 in Office, but he did a LOT. Mostly fixing other bs Obama had fubar.
Not in a position to declare facts but the intuition is based on experience. I agree, no matter it’s genesis China has criminally endangered the world and must pay a price.
Avi Yemeni is a great Australian.
