I disagree that this somehow "guarantees" his re-election. Don't minimize the DNC's voter fraud! They're going to engage in that like never before. And their coup attempt never stopped. We may need a big igloo to put that on ice.
Back prior to 2018, i predicted that the dems would win those midterms largely due to fraud and that nobody would be prosecuted. Why? Because Trump didn't want them to know he was onto them, so they'd double down in 2020 to ensure a Trump defeat that they'll be caught so bad it will be the end of their party.
I love how every time here's something big in the news ("Trump stepping foot in NoKo, killing Generous Quiche Salami, killing al-Baghdadi, getting a Supreme Justice confirmed, etc etc) people here like clockwork flock to say "THIS will surely secure President Trump's re-election!"
Like, what changed between now and the last time you said that? It's literally the inverse to people that say "THIS will surely bring down Drumpf!"
Cunt Pelosi went on PBS and lied about restructuring the senate bill to make it trickle up instead of down to the workers. Why a dumb bitch, as if the senate would even let her change one word.
Shot down every time it's been brought up. Was a part of the Confederate constitution, for what it's worth. Not a power the President of the United States has.
I have to blame the media for stoking this panic though. Sucks when anyone dies, but I'd just like to point out that like 30,000 people died under Barry Hussein Soetoro from H1N1 without spending $2 trillion and an inordinate panic that ended up stopping the entire economy.
1,000 people have died from Xi Jinpeng's Kung Flu Wuhan Coronavirus. Yet compare the media's fear mongering between these two pandemics.
Trump kinda has no choice but to do this because of the situation we're in, but we're going to pay for this down the road. Bigly.
We just added 10% to the national debt with one bill.
Total freedom from them? In this case, people keeping their businesses open would (could) contribute to a public health crisis that could cost the economy trillions of dollars and could cost hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions (depending on the model) of Americans their lives. It is a balancing act, but at a certain point there is a role for government in public health/safety. I think we need to be extremely careful about it, but I do think there are legitimate times when they should get involved. That's why it matters who is in charge of the government.
There were 2 paths to go from the disaster: More government or less government.
I think the biggest fear was to go the route of more free market, because assume the virus is over and the freedoms last a little longer, and the economy booms like never before. Then when they'd want to reenact the old tax burdens and regulations, people might revolt. Or a clear argument would have been given for free market in general.
I don't think Trump ever had the option to go that way, the entirety of the government including many/most Republicans would turn against him. That said I am not sure if that's what he'd want anyway...
2 Trillion. What is our country and our future worth? If this flips the house and gets Trump reelected, and I think it will, it's worth it. The left's inevitable 'investigation' into POTUS' handling of this situation will fail and make Trump even more popular.. Because how fucking lame can you get, and because he made the early call on closing travel to/from China AND his early call on Zpack+Hydroxychloroquine will prove to be correct and save countless lives.
2 Trillion. What is our country and our future worth?
No, I get that, but I'm saying the only reason our country/economy is even on the line is because the enemy of the people media scared the shit out of everyone so bad that they're too terrified to even open a window.
It’s not all gloom. It sounds to me like we are about to see a massive uptick in manufacturing and good paying manufacturing jobs. If we gear up for a tsunami of Made in America products I think we will come roaring back. There is a pent up demand for American made products. The Chinese virus has been a huge red pill crammed down the throats of our ignorant countrymen by showing them how vulnerable we are to other countries.
Yep, but look at it this way. Part of that money is in rebate form. Government basically went back to 2018 and slashed a chunk off the taxes there and rewrote it as a deficit.
Government will ALWAYS suck, but I think this is ALMOST as good as it could have been given the situation of an economy on the brink due to Chinese bioterrorism and government emergency declarations.
From another article: “I’m not saying the press is the enemy of the American people, but if they were what would they be doing differently from what they are doing right now?”
You're getting more back than you would have without the plan. But that's not why the plan is being put into action.
This shutdown is essentially government mandated. In other words government is ORDERING economic damage to be done. So without the loans, the expansion of unemployment and other measures the end cost would be larger.
Namely you'd be paying more taxes for all the people claiming unemployment permanently after this government mandated shutdown ends.
There's no rebate function here. There's no "getting back."
Deficit spending comes out of who's pocket?
Yours and mine. I can't believe you think this is somehow a good idea. Imma go hurl.
China knew about HCQ 15 years ago. Why don't we have any yet? You, me, every man woman and child in the US. Then send everybody back to work. No need to panic that way. No chance to "swamp the healthcare system." No panic about mass death.
I've been through the bill and this is the leanest emergency relief bill I've ever seen by far. The few million in their of pork is nothing compared to the over 2 trillion in support to the American people.
350 Million compared to 2,200,000 Million
0.01% you are complaining about literally nothing
Fuck the left...so much pork.
Repubs didn't have to agree and Trump doesn't have to sign, yet he will
We all hate pork, unfortunately it's all part of politics, it's all part of the game, a game the American taxpayer ultimately pays.
Either way, Trump's approvals are up, and this is pretty much guaranteed his re-election. I'll take that as a victory.
Just think what Hillary would've done in this situation. 2.3 trillion and it's all pork, or incompetent hand outs.
I disagree that this somehow "guarantees" his re-election. Don't minimize the DNC's voter fraud! They're going to engage in that like never before. And their coup attempt never stopped. We may need a big igloo to put that on ice.
Agree. Every eligible voter will need to come out and support the president in Florida just to offset Broward county fraud.
Check my submission, there is more analysis to do but 100% he can lose by fraud

No it's not
Put a fucking foot down
People are paying attention
pork hot dogs
Fuck that, we're 20 points down so recruit everyone you know and VOTE.

Their base mobilizes on pure stereotype and retarded slogans.
It's like they were bred to be slaves.
I don’t know shit about politics but line veto?
Shot down every time it's been brought up. Was a part of the Confederate constitution, for what it's worth. Not a power the President of the United States has.
And rightfully so. Imagine that being used against us
Yeah, but... fuckin' $2 trillion.
I have to blame the media for stoking this panic though. Sucks when anyone dies, but I'd just like to point out that like 30,000 people died under Barry Hussein Soetoro from H1N1 without spending $2 trillion and an inordinate panic that ended up stopping the entire economy.

Because it was the government that ordered the shut down. Hard to live in a free market when government orders your shop to close...

No 2T added to national debt.
Say it with me new guy:
“Taiwan is a sovereign nation.”
CHINESE VIRUS
After revolution low caste stayed in China and eat live rats and upper caste fled to taiwan
They must be planning another Minnesota
