You do realize why he passed the Omnibus bill? Pressure not to shut down government. The previous budget resulted in a government shutdown so long that like one more day and he could've fired swamp critters at will. When he failed to do so I was all "there will be no justice."
He said he would never sign anything like that again. I wish he would've kept his word! I would've rather seen the whole government sent home. He was more concerned with re-election chances.
Bad strategy to wait to charge the coup perpetrators until after you hopefully get re-elected. Too much at stake. D's are obviously planning to cheat like never before.
This bloated bill is just one small piece of a very big picture. 1776
Art of the deal states that when you make a deal where both sides are unhappy it is a good deal
Meaning you have to give up some of what you have to get most of what you want.
This is how politics works unfortunately. If you want someone to vote on your thing, you have to include something that they want, money for something they have promised. If you want to change that then help Trump win the House in 2020.
Honestly I think we could have gotten by just tweaking existing unemployment to kick in within 2 weeks, instead of requiring the normal 8 weeks or whatever it is before you are eligible.
This way only people who are affected by job loss get money, without missing a pay period, using the existing unemployment insurance structures that employers paid into.
Of course with so many extra claims, and so suddenly, that'd be about all that needed to be funded by congress.
What do you disagree with in this bill? It's actually very lean when I had compare this to any other bill and history it's extremely lean and the tiny amount of pork a few people of pointed out only amounts to 0.01%. In addition there a lot of loans in this that may be paid back.
The other point is that the deficit is not necessarily a badd thing it just has to be balanced against GDP if we can get the economy backup and get our GDP up to 45% this would totally be worth it
The Omnibus bill is really the only major disagreement I've had with what he's done

The amnesty thing was BS!
Im just holding out hope the gloves are off in President Trump's second term.

Yeah I don’t like it either, and definitely not saying it’s right
Just that it is
This isn't the first thing I've disagree with him on, but it is the worst thing he will have done with his office to date, IMO.
If Obama signed this shit, we'd all be pissed.
He can’t veto a bill that hits his desk 96-0.
The spineless GOP. I forget who made the quote:
“Progressives march us off to ruins and conservatives admire the ruins.”
It wouldn’t have passed 96-0 if President Trump didn’t publicly endorse it.
Civil fucking war
Let's just see how the market responds.
Well I'm sure it will respond positively. Still disagree with the premise of this loaded bill.
I have mixed feelings. I hate it's filled with nonsense, but I know some people need help. Overall, I don't really care.

I agree. Just get it out there for the people and move on from this.
The market has already responded by tanking the dollar.
Don't be fazed by market noise of even 2 or 3 days. Think 20 years.
US is losing its position of global dominance. Right now is a pivotal moment!
