Step one:

Page 781 of the bill provides $25 million to the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives to cover "salary and expenses."

This is called a payoff. Pure and simple.

No fun bucks for me. I might be over 75k, but I have 5 kids and my wife runs the house while I work. One income stretched man.

Since you're married the limit is $150k where you don't get anything.

If you contribute to your 401k that also decreases your "income".

150k for joint that phases out up to 198k, which I imagine you must be filing for your child tax credits. You have the rest of the year to squirrel away income to get your AGI down too. Great time to put more into the 401k-- buy the dip. Plus you're getting 5x500 for the brats-- 4900$ That's twice of what most people will get.
