Step one:

Page 781 of the bill provides $25 million to the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives to cover "salary and expenses."

This is called a payoff. Pure and simple.

If they want to stimulate the economy, tell the bankers to fuxk off for 4 month. No charging on any loans for 3 months. No interest no late fees no bills

Seriously. You'd think we have a bunch of closet commies on here. Everyone so ready to jump on the bandwagon of "muh stimulus isn't big enough". You don't need a fucking stimulus! Tax rates are insane, we should be rioting over that. Not bickering over whether if you make 87k if the "stimulus" is fair. Fucking retards supporting this shit, enabling these people to steal from me. From YOU. From US.

$3.8 billion a year over 10 years to a foreign nation. Complain about taxes all you want, you're already paying that much for their walls and border security. Yet when it comes to a stimulus package for your own people, your economy, your own nation, THAT is when things have gone too far for you.

This stimulus package (sans the Dem payoff) is economics 101. In the long run things will go back to normal. In the short run its gonna sting no matter what, but if we didn't do this it would sting like a shark bite.

That's a drop in the bucket compared to domestic social program expenditures.

My philosophy is that I dont need it - and I dont. I have 5 weeks of PTO saved and 10 months of bills ready to go in the bank. Im also essential and unaffected thus far by the Rona Rona Shuffle being salaried and a critical component of our operation...but if theyre going to tax me to pay for it, fuck yes I'm taking it.

I did give thought to sending it to Trumps reelection campaign or Trump himself but nah.

Take it, don't take it. Who cares? What really grinds my gears is paying 50+% in taxes every year. Mostly for social programs that serve mostly people who should be working (~80% of the budget is social shit).

My taxes went down 2%. I'm hoping Trump will lower it more. I'm trying to figure out why he didn't lower it 20% LOL

Agreed. The money is being (and has been) stolen so it can later be given to those who get/keep them in power, so they can steal more... The fix requires the Dems to not be in charge of congress and Whitehouse though. So I am glad Trump is a solid Executive instead of an idealogue. This was a trap he turned around onto those dirty looters. We can all see thier dirty, greasy fingers.

According to the CDC, >70% of Americans are overweight and/or obese. Seems to me the same is also true of American minds. Bad mental diet, terribly weak & underdeveloped. I think when Americans pull their mental health out of atrophy, all this commie bullshit will evaporate. Our wasted potential is our problem, and applied American ideals are the solution.

I guess it depends on the recipient of the stimulus. Airline industries have been hit harder than any other simply because banning or reducing travel is something everyone can agree on.

Airports and terminals cant go out and hire same day replacements when the country opens back up. Companies like Walmart, McDonald's, and the entire service sector can completely restaff in less than a week.

This isnt like 2008, where wall street took unnecessary risks built on lies that sank our economy. There arent any Americans that directly caused the current crisis, so they shouldnt be treated like they fucked up. It is kind of like how getting your license renewed is much cheaper if you do it before it expires. It will cost the country less to pay current employees than it would be to save the stimulus and hire tons of new people.

The stimulus shouldnt be completely dismissed as socialism when people here advocate for it. When you think about it, the stimulus is no different than getting your money back on your tax returns. It is your money in the first place, so you are going to see people on the Right who agree with it. There isnt any conflict with supporting the stimulus and conservative values. The most important variable for conservative compatibility isnt how much we would get, but who gets what. If a bunch of freeloaders get checks, then it would be socialist bullshit. Conversely, if the money goes to people who paid their taxes, it should be supported by everyone here.
