Maybe a decade ago it was a hard pill to swallow. Today, I get more entertainment value out of watching Hollywood burn than out of anything they are capable of producing.
My wife was watching Project Runway and for a show that's supposed to be about glamour, Alyssa Milano looked a good 10+ years older than she is and that's with a team of makeup experts.
I read something a while back about the value of certain skills and services to society. At the bottom of that list is entertainers including sports celebrities. Society has always been able to function without them. All they are is a "perk" to take the stress away from every day life. It does provide some value in that sense, but if you couldn't watch movies or TV shows, what would you do?
Enjoy hobbies (create your own entertainment and stress relief)
Exercise, take kids to the park, camping, hunting, fishing, driving your motorcycle or sports car, read books, learn new skills (learn to code), learn to play a musical instrument
Interact on thedonald.win
The only downside of not having an entertainment industry is displacing the skilled people it employs just like the guy in the video states.
Yeah man. Great points. Last year I spent 5 months with no entertainment and it was the most fruitful time of my life.
Entertainers have always been low the on the totem pole. It's a marvel to me that we idolize them now, and listen to their political opinions for that matter.
Funny (or not) how we do idolize them. They're treated like royalty and our ignorant society places such a high value on them. If an entertainer stops working, does anyone really take notice or does it really affect anyone? Maybe their fans, but no one else. If the garbage truck guy, the nurses, emergency workers, store employees, shelf stockers, truck drivers and others don't show up for work, the nation will notice it within days.
I don't understand Hollywood tax credits. It doesn't produce very good jobs to benefit the local economy. They are only on location for a very short bit, and the only income those people are spending is on food.
Still not happy with tax breaks for other things like stadiums, but at least in those cases you create permanent jobs with people that live there and can contribute to the economy in many ways.

Especially Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan. I love seeing them make fools of themselves👍🏻

If the news about adrenochrome ends up being true and videos come out, every single movie will leave a horrible and foul taste in everyone's mouths.
Nonessential service
