To be fair we did open up the pharmaceutical markets to compete with the world costs. I assumed that other medical products followed suit. At the time I thought that was a good thing. I didn't see a shortage problem coming from this obviously. So have to wonder if the extra cost is worth it to preserve our own supply. Or maybe our own country can think of a way to make the cost of obtaining the raw materials less and therefore more competitive product prices.
