Who would of thunk forcing businesses to close down causes unemployment

I give this another week or 2 before everyone realizes that closing down your country is the dumbest thing you could have ever done.

This whole thing was such an overreaction

I've heard the flip-side: wouldn't millions be entering the workforce once the lockdowns are done?

Because the GOVERNMENT is FORCING people to NOT work.

The government is telling you, you can't work, you have to stay locked in your house like a semi-comfortable prison and not giving a definite time when you can come out. In the meantime, businesses aren't making money, they have to lay off people and many have to close permanently because they have no income to pay their bills. The government is the problem here, mostly STATE and LOCAL governments. They are using this virus as an excuse to fuck over the local economy. they keep using this "abundance of caution" crap. It's the same asinine BS they use when they want to pass gun laws or cell phone laws or whatever. They know if they frame it as something that "shows they care", ignorant folks will get behind it because "it's common sense and someone is doing something".

Then all it ends up doing is removing freedoms and stomping on rights

Seeing a lot of pessimism being brewed by that recent development.

Hopefully the US gets things done fast before "America is lost" overruns "Keep America Great."
