He just came out yesterday saying his original estimate of 500k deaths in the UK was wrong and it will be more like 20k deaths, almost all of which will be people that would have died this year anyways.
Apparently the UK only started doing social distancing on March 18th, and only started to some lockdowns in parts of the UK (still not a national lockdown apparently) two days ago.
As far as I can tell the forecast changed AFTER accounting for the national lockdown, work from home and strict social distancing.
