"New Normal" is not generally a good thing: that's like if someone tragically loses a mate or family member, or has an accident/whatever that results in physical disability. These aren't things you can truly fully recover from, the best one can realistically hope for is to adapt and accept.

"New" does not always mean "better," although that is part of the Leftist hivemindset. I assume Worst 0bama's idea of a "New Normal" would refer to the "Fundamental Transformation" that he had Leftists celebrating before the touchdown, so to speak. The "progressive" acceleration of Political Correctness down the Slippery Slope had them giddy with delight at "normalizing" degeneracy, which is why you so often hear those types screeching at normal people who are supposedly "normalizing" things that normal people have considered normal for centuries.
