Because the general public is the product of decades of public school and college brainwashing. This is the culmination of over a century or more of a long term agenda to destroy the United States from within, and it is working. The United States needs Donald Trump in 2020, but the majority do not deserve for him to be re-elected. Not saying "don't vote for him" by any stretch of the imagination, just that the drooling masses that get their world view spoon fed to them every night by the boob tube are not worthy of what this country stands for.
Because people have not learned from repeated crisis that they need 6 months salary, liquid, in the bank for emergency situations. They instead make a million and one excuses for why they could not save this money and now have their hands out to Uncle Sam to save them.

I think it’s because -right or wrong- we believe it’s a role of a citizen to obey authority. We like to think our leaders aren’t going to fuck us. My thoughts anyway
I want all my freedoms back after this is done, but I also want to be able to work from home sometimes since we proved it can work. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed working from my deck this morning on a beautiful day. I am looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.
It's called laws and living in a republic.
The governors are abiding by the laws enacted by the representatives we elected. So is Trump.
How you break the conditioning is by electing representatives who will change the laws, or filing a lawsuit and getting a judge to say the laws are unconstitutional.
