I'm shocked at the number of my friends that still believe this shut down panic reaction is appropriate for this virus.
I look at the numbers every fucking day, listen to the daily briefings, questions and all to try to figure out what I must be missing. I simply don't see any reason to shut the country down.
Wish I could red pill the whole lot of them, acting like they are enlightened and evolved and not even seeing how the power that presides just made them agree to be controlled. They act almost happy to not have to work.

Local grocery stores are completely wiped out of toiler paper, paper towels, and tissue paper . . . but fully stocked on bread, frozen foods, meets, eggs, milk, juice, soda, etc. Wtf people? Don't get lost in fighting over the virus, it comes down to shifting the argument to the media, they don't want to let trump respond, or want a cure, they only want testing for high numbers.. the outlawed the cure in one state already.
The whole danger of this virus is to a portion of the population that is currently based on beds/ventilators.. the pills work, really well. the data will be published in two weeks, it will be undeniable.
pills will replace ventilators. plasma from cured brings new point-of-care instant testing and antibodies to give to those in danger as protection.. The original studies based on models out of UK estimated 1B infected and 200M dead, he came out today and admitted he was wrong, it is only 22k..
Mrs Birx is a National Treasure using actual data and hates models, she knows which areas will be cured and which ones are in danger, we will open and close areas as we have to until we get the Trump Cure data reports then total game over..

At present, our family continues to work since we are considered "essential businesses". I work out my house and have talked to more neighbors in the last week than I have in the past six months.
Some of them are truly suffering. This must stop.

Just listen to the language. "Out of control", "cases explode", "700 deaths in a single day", "Hospitals overwhelmed", "inevitable mass deaths", "elderly left to die".
All designed to stoke fear and shut down the logical mind. If you don't already know that these people are trying to scare you, you're VERY vulnerable.

Trump Treatment should be trending
My boss and the other managers buy into the NYT stories 100%. So I set up the infrastructure they wanted for people to work from home and this morning I took advantage and worked from my deck drinking coffee in 80 degree weather. I'm dreading a few weeks from now when they figure this out.

Here's the deal, 1/5 people get really sick and require treatment. That combined with how contagious it is means there was the potential for 100 million sick > 20 million hospitalized.
The mortality rate is below 1% if those who need care receive it. It goes to 10% if there is no care available.
That's an order of magnitude more than the system could handle which would result in a complete collapse. That's how you get to 10 million dead.
