There are millions upon millions of doses of this drug out there, so why are democrat governors rallying together to force this ridiculous rule in their states? You don't want people to reach the stage where they require hospitalization, you want to prevent that. That is the goal of medicine.

Either these governors want to swell the numbers of hospitalized patients and slow down the recovery phase so the media can continue with the sky is falling narrative, or they are being influenced by their big pharma donors to restrict use to hospitalized patients only because the drugs will be much less effective the farther along someone is with the virus. Then they can say "see, these cheap and widely available time-tested drugs really don't work, wait for our patented new drug that will cost a fucking fortune".

From an outside perspective it looks like racketeering among democrat governors and big pharma and I think it seriously warrants an immediate investigation.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the drug, but I don’t think it’s preventative. I think it’s used to treat someone who is already sick.

A vaccine, on the other hand, is preventative, but we are only in trial stages of the vaccine. It’ll take a while before a preventative vaccine is mass produced.

I think what OP was trying to get at, was that if you did come down with covid-19, at the first sign of it, take the medications. Not wait until you need to be hospitalized to then recieve them or worse yet, to fill a hospital bed to actually recieve these meds.

That's the point I am getting, atleast. This combination can be taken in a non clinical setting under constant observation. Requiring a hospital stay is the ridiculous part. Could you imagine taking antibiotics for, let's say, strep throat, but you could only do so after being admitted to the hospital, or because the disease progressed to the point necessitating hospitalization, because the doctor wouldn't prescribe meds to get in front of the illness? That would be absurd.

I don't think OP is referring to therapeutic prophylactic dosing.

I agree. Once you are diagnosed, like Colton Underwood, get the meds and recover at home.

I believe the key words in South Korea’s success were “early treatment.”

Same here. I’m not getting it. I’m not 100% anti-vaxxer, but I never get a flu shot. I hope I get it so I can stay at home for a few days. But I always practice good hygiene so i usually don’t have to worry about it.

This is an accurate statement. HCQ is a cure not a vaccine.

HCQ cant be given to prevent someone from having this virus.

It cured the virus once you have it.

Wrong. It's a zinc ionophore. Zinc in cells disrupts viral replication.

Wait for production to ramp up, then we will throw a bottle at anyone who coughs.

Right now, we need to make sure the drug is there for those who really need it. We don't keep warehouses of medication just lying around. It's available over the counter in most countries with malaria.

Luckily, it's cheap and easy to make, so it's being made in spades.

Something else is going on... Otherwise Trump would immediately destroy those motherfuckers like he normally does.

They say Trump is furious when he does literally anything, if he showed real anger, that'd be every news story for a day or so on msm

He can't do that. It would be never ending "unfit" remarks on every media channel forever

Because they have always been claiming he was unfit without evidence. That would be their evidence. Think.

This is also a prescribed medication.

The doctor will specify how many your can have. There’s really not the ability to hoard here.

Seems to me that if you can treat early, you'd reduce hospital load and possibly reduce the spread to other people in patients' homes.

Dem governors like NV and MI are in a bubble of advisors all suffering from TDS.

"Trump thinks it might work? I thought so too yesterday, but now I know it will kill people that are already dying."

So they want to wait until people have scarred up lungs before giving it?

Invest in those portable oxygen concentrators. They'll be big some day.

I believe you are correct. South Korea seemed to stress “early treatment” was key to their success.

Libertysheimdall1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Be careful about the difference between how many pills there are vs. how many people can be treated. The regimen is 30 pills minimum. So the available supply isn't all that great as it seems.

I don't understand why they can pick a handful of hospitals in the NY area and make the the first line of treatment and compare to the rest of the hospitals that wait until the patients are critical. Based on the doctor in upstate NY, it should be pretty obvious what happens when you are proactive vs. reactive in late stages.

RobertSparks777 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wrong. The point is to make sure the hospitals can get the medication and not every uncle Joe can get a prescription and hoard the drug for themselves.

They assume that because 1 moron in China overdosed and took 3grams instead of the prescribed 500mg and died that therefore somehow hundreds of thousands of Americans will all also overdose....

you do know that Tonic water has a small amount of quinine in it? It tastes like the white part of a grapefruit but it does have quinine. Readily available in most grocery stores? Bought a couple bottles at Wal-Mart day before yesterday.

If you did research yourself, you would know side effects are rare and nearly non-existent in low dose, short term use.

No they don’t, stop spreading bullshit

3
Yeahamerica 3 points ago +3 / -0

Pharmacist can’t write scripts and the side effects aren’t wicked. They are rare.

With that being said, the law is to protect from hoarding and i seen it first hand in another state. Doctors were writing for 100 tablets has directed for their collegues. My state put restrictions as well. Some of the studies only show you need 12 tablets for the entire course.

Thats funny because Ive called the governors office twice and no one there can give me a straight fucking answer as to who gets the medicine and for what reason. Fucking shill faggot.
