There are millions upon millions of doses of this drug out there, so why are democrat governors rallying together to force this ridiculous rule in their states? You don't want people to reach the stage where they require hospitalization, you want to prevent that. That is the goal of medicine.

Either these governors want to swell the numbers of hospitalized patients and slow down the recovery phase so the media can continue with the sky is falling narrative, or they are being influenced by their big pharma donors to restrict use to hospitalized patients only because the drugs will be much less effective the farther along someone is with the virus. Then they can say "see, these cheap and widely available time-tested drugs really don't work, wait for our patented new drug that will cost a fucking fortune".

From an outside perspective it looks like racketeering among democrat governors and big pharma and I think it seriously warrants an immediate investigation.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the drug, but I don’t think it’s preventative. I think it’s used to treat someone who is already sick.

A vaccine, on the other hand, is preventative, but we are only in trial stages of the vaccine. It’ll take a while before a preventative vaccine is mass produced.

I think what OP was trying to get at, was that if you did come down with covid-19, at the first sign of it, take the medications. Not wait until you need to be hospitalized to then recieve them or worse yet, to fill a hospital bed to actually recieve these meds.

That's the point I am getting, atleast. This combination can be taken in a non clinical setting under constant observation. Requiring a hospital stay is the ridiculous part. Could you imagine taking antibiotics for, let's say, strep throat, but you could only do so after being admitted to the hospital, or because the disease progressed to the point necessitating hospitalization, because the doctor wouldn't prescribe meds to get in front of the illness? That would be absurd.

I don't think OP is referring to therapeutic prophylactic dosing.

I agree. Once you are diagnosed, like Colton Underwood, get the meds and recover at home.

I believe the key words in South Korea’s success were “early treatment.”

Same here. I’m not getting it. I’m not 100% anti-vaxxer, but I never get a flu shot. I hope I get it so I can stay at home for a few days. But I always practice good hygiene so i usually don’t have to worry about it.

This is an accurate statement. HCQ is a cure not a vaccine.

HCQ cant be given to prevent someone from having this virus.

It cured the virus once you have it.

Wrong. It's a zinc ionophore. Zinc in cells disrupts viral replication.
