I don't really understand it. If I did the math right, this bill costs each taxpayer roughly $10,000. Just to get back $1,000. What am I missing?

It costs each taxpayer $10k (that they "pay back" over the course of 30+ years), and they get back $1,000 (plus they get to keep their jobs when this is over, and the companies get to stay open, and we avoid a prolonged market crash that cuts their retirement savings literally in half).

In the end, the taxpayer is getting way more than $1,000 worth of value.

They're stealing your money at gunpoint, but don't make them feel bad . . .

A fuckload of pork. Hundreds of millions for refugees and illegals, same day voter registration for national elections, billions for african bank. 75 million for NPR, 75 Million for the endownment of the arts.

It's fucking loaded full of garbage. We should not be accepting dirty bills just because it is a crisis, in fact this is the worst time to be exploited by these pork handout assholes.

No idea why the Senate passed this. Uniparty.

Does anyone have a link the actual bill?

Most of what you mentioned is specifically for dealing with the China virus. It's not a blank check to just do whatever with. Please read those sections of the bill.

Various spending chunks to nonsense, but most argued is the lack of an income limit to the unemployment benefit. Meaning people may be able to earn more on unemployment than the job they left/fired/let go from.

We can give billions to corrupt foreign countries, but the sky will fall if we give too much to American Citizens.

These bills should have all been separate. Congress is a shit show (both sides)
