I was a tech at a GM dealer. I can say that without a shadow of a doubt, I will never buy a GM vehicle as long as I live. The quality of their parts and stuff is absolute garbage as most of them are made in Mexico, along with most of their vehicles.
We had cars with 10 to 30k miles (some even less than 10k miles) needing brand new engines, cause they melted the pistons and the issue affected pretty much all of their new 4 cylinder engines (1.4, 1.5, 2.0, and some 2.5 liter engines) and the 6 speed tranaxles that they mate to the 3.6 in FWD applications fail constantly, a wave plate literally breaks and renders the trans useless. Ford also uses this transmission but they made some changes to it and they have far fewer issues.
The Buick Envision, for those who dont know, is made in....CHINA! That is a crapcan of a car. The Silverado and Sierra? MEXICAN made anymore, though there are some out there that were made in Fort Wayne (but the vast majority of parts coming from MEXICO).
