I think you are right. Self imposed social distancing will continue. We will see people being crazy clean freaks but we will begin to move forward. This has scared people enough that everyone is going to be extra careful. More so than bad flu years. Which will, actually help

I think he is holding off because if there’s one rebellious state, it’s fucking Florida.

If only the resistors hadn't stopped DJT's travel ban from Iran ...

The new plan the President is introducing next week will allow states to designate counties on a scale from high to low risk, so it’ll vary by county instead of by state. It all depends on the current infection rate within each county.

But you’re right, the hardest hit are the blue areas and it’s expected those areas will remain under shelter-in-place orders for a bit longer period.

Red states need to close their borders to blue states.

Here in CA there is not even an official predicted end date to this whole mess. The entire month of April we will be working from home, I guarantee it.

Especially blue states that have banned the cure.

I haven’t slept well since my company implemented WFH last week.

It pisses me off that the media will not be held accountable for the fear mongering. The media is going out of their way to discredit legit the ONLY politician in Washington that is telling Americans that we will get through this. We are Americans. We can and will fucking do anything because we are Americans.

The economy is on shaking ground and millions of people just lost their job. People get fucking sick all the time. And it always fucking sucks when you are sick. 330 million citizens and 100k people are the reason for life to stop?

Call me callous, but I’m the words of Sam Jackson, bitch please.

1 in 5 kids will cancer will die. It’s not their fault they have cancer. Where in the flying fuck is the mass panic for them?

Yep, blue states will be sucking of the gov's tit while red states fight to keep the country alive. I have so much hate in my heart for dems and progressives now.

I heard Trump today at the presser. I don’t think your prediction holds water.

You’re absolutely correct about the politicization, however.

The federal government has done a huge amount to get us prepared for a bigger outbreak that’s on the horizon. We have been shutting down to prevent that outbreak from being so big we can’t handle it. Once the data from testing and confirmed cases shows we are over the hump, we will start to shift toward rebuilding the economy.

Notice he didn’t give a date because he can’t. We are in this to win this and that might mean months before we begin to see the exit.

No, not months. 15 pills to every man woman and child and this is just a cold. That'd take almost 5 billion pills. More than half the country geographically speaking has 0 infections per county or 1-4 per County. Might be ok to go back to work there with no HCQ or tests?

We can beat this in less than months.

Supply chain is fucked already. Go back to work in some sectors maybe, especially service related, but not restaurants, retail or anything with a large crowd.

If I can’t acquire the product how do I open my doors?

Edit: Do you watch Trump at the briefings?

What about purple States? WI Gov is D, legislature is R. People are divided. DJT carried the State in 2016 by a thin margin. We didn't shut down til Tuesday. Most of our Counties have 0 infections. 6 dead total.

Really hard to make a case for closing communities or businesses. I can see stopping large gatherings like theaters bars restaurants for a while longer yet.
