also Trump doesnt have to follow through with this. as far as i understand there is no congressional oversight as to how the money can be used and it is ultimately up to trump and the treasury to decide where the money goes

My business is considered essential so it’s unlikely I will lose my job. Florida pays $275 a week in unemployment so if god forbid I do lose my job, I would make more by not working.
To be quite honest, I’d rather have these barely functional a holes at home than working and touching everything in their sight without washing their hands or keep any type of proper hygiene up...
I just got back from a gas station and they had the 6’ mark and mouth breathers still standing nut to butt...
Smart people will realize that 4 months is only 4 months, and in a potentially struggling economy, they'd be better off to get skin back in the game immediately. Also (and this is why the portion that assists businesses with keeping people on payroll is important), unemployment can only be collected by those laid off or fired. A person who is still being paid by their job but not working at the moment (which will be a lot of people because of this bill) cannot go collect unemployment. They also can't quit and collect unemployment.
spez why do you downvote the truth? Everything I said is true. Lots of people are keeping their jobs now because of this bill. This bill made businesses able to do that. If that person quits, they won't be able to collect unemployment. Only people who are fired or laid off can do so.

It does seem kind of crazy. The only upside I can really think of is that there's an end date for it that's not TOO far off...
