For starters, Trump isnt a racist, hasn't been for his whole public life. That's a narrative his political opponents began to drum up in 2016 by the same people that refuse to broadcast anything about Bidens rape case.
The media takes things out of context to spin his words against him, and I'm convinced they're the cause of so much needless animosity and hate in this country. He, along with how Obama and Bernie used to, knew that illegal immigrants were bad for the country. Trump campaigned on stopping them, while also being happy to accept legal immigrants. So far ICE has stopped up to ~93% of illegal immigrants.
He's done more for black communities in 3 years than Obama did in 8. He's trying to get a UN bill passed to decriminalize homosexuality worldwide. He welcomes legal immigrants. His staff is diverse, with women, and people of color; but the thing is: conservatives like Trump dont care about physical appearance. The left always makes it about identity politics, the right focuses on ideas and character rather than physical apearance.
Trump campaigned as an anti-establishment candidate. Establishment Republicans, Democrats, Wall Street, MSM, Hollywood, and the 0.1% were against him. They've spent billions convincing the public that hes a racist, bigot, homophobic liar, and it's sad to see the public buys in.
Last thing I want to talk about is the lying. He's a salesman, he always talks optimistic and positive to inspire confidence. So if something is great he'll call it perfect. I am a grandmother. I have been very familiar with President Trump for many years. I noticed him in the news in the 70's as he was amassing his wealth. He hasn't really changed much. Since day one... he has been loud, bold egotistical, self-centered, and a "in your face" eccentric man. Back then, when you said the name Trump, you would laugh about his ego but also respect his business sense. He owned New York.....how could you not take your hat off to him. I saw his heart and the love for his country on Sept. 11, 2001. Not much has changed. He has always been the same man. One thing I always knew, he did not come from a place of corruption or secret agendas. He was and is always brutally honest. How todays media moguls can try to find corruption in a guy they use to respect and invite to all their events is beyond me. Trump hasn't changed, the media has. A few days ago at the big chain grocery store near me I overheard some guy in checkout say "Well, he's gonna get re-elected" with a shrug and half a smirk. It kinda seemed like he was satisfied to be able to say that but he still wanted to seem like it was just something he was accepting rather than something he was celebrating. The cashier basically responded the same way as if to agree but not give away whether she was happy about it or not.
In our current climate anything less than vocalized disdain can be safely assumed to be tacit support. It sucks that we've gotten to a point where people are terrified to be known as a supporter of their own president. The blame lies 100% on the DNC. I'm a former Dem/Independent voter that will never vote for another Democrat as long as I live.
Side note: I'm currently reading Andrew Breitbart's "Righteous Indignation" (The audiobook is available on youtube) and it is SHOCKING how similar the climate of these past three years is to the Bill Cinton/George W Bush years. The DNC was doing all this same shit back then: The character assassinations and deplatforming, the politicizing of every possible tragedy, the hyperbolic accusations of fascism/authoritarianism, the constant railroading of every topic with accusation of prejudice and hate, the mafia squad of celebrities being elevated in exchange for slandering political opposition, the accusation that the media is right wing...
