So fathers who lose their jobs will also not get support because of an unfair magistrate and justice system?
Support isn’t even based on costs for raising a child. often times it is based on the time a child spends with each parent and their incomes.
I’ve moved to be in my daughters life. Cashed out of 401k’s paying for a narcissistic alienating piece of shit. Welp, this one is gonna lose it so I’ll make sure to carry the message for you guys who are in the same boat.
I tried that. My lawyer last year fucked me- we had to modify support and custody but he dragged his feet for 3 months confirming my previous address. Then having to prioritize custody so my daughter could SLEEP OVER my home. I had a Cali order before move which granted joint and sleep overs.
It really doesn’t matter unless you have money or power.
My current lawyer is also useless, but I’m also fighting in my ex’s home town where her family is well known.
I’ve had 1 fair judge in all of this. The current judge even denied me custody rep provided by court- based on my income....although my income falls well under the ceiling.
From how this reads it only impacts those who owe arrears so deep your State has contacted the Treasury Dept to hold any federal money owed to you such as a tax refund.
As mentioned below, I believe you can refile if your income is currently impacted since it lowers the calculated combined income of you and your kids mom. I'd immediatly contact them for adjustment.
