I keep hearing nightmare situations like intubating colleagues, drafting early graduating med students, psych doctors managing vents?
I want to be proven wrong. Every contact I have up there is super liberal who say they are near capacity but then don't give me census numbers.
I watched Tucker interview an ER doctor who gave a doomsday description of what was happening. He described the situation as "we put people on ventilators, then they die, then we go onto the next patient, put them on a ventilator, then they die. That's how it goes all day long". It sounded like he was really exaggerating but Tucker didn't do any counter-questioning to see if he was really being truthful. And Tucker didn't ask the doctor if he was giving hydroxychloroquine to his patients. I really think Tucker is struggling with being panicked about this & maybe he needs to go home & be with his family for awhile.
