You forgot “Hydroxyquinone is unproven”
“Trump is taking meds from AIDS sufferers”
“Trump didn’t provide enough reeeespirators” “Birx isn’t as good as Fauci”
and “Trump told me to ingest fish tank cleaner”
I've been posting a lot about this but I wish that our side would take GEOTUS at his word on this. This COULD be a game-changer, but it hasn't been proven definitively. We have some very promising results on hydroxyquinine from a French doctor, a letter from a Hassidic doctor in NYC, and a few cases of people saying they miraculously improved after taking it. That is a good start. I am very happy that the FDA is now approving it for off-label use.
The bottom line for me is that I am very hopeful about this drug, and very happy that it is under serious study in several countries right now, but I wish we wouldn't be completely bought in until we have more definitive results. Yes, use it with serious patients with little chance, yes, allow patients to request it. But until we have better evidence, massive prophylactic dosing seems ridiculous to me... I know it's not a popular opinion on this site, but it's my honest take.

That said, I think we should be a bit more cautious about our optimism. There was a very recent study that found hydroxyquinine no better than the alternative treatments. Granted, this was a small-scale randomized study from CHYNA, so I take it with a healthy grain of salt (http://subject.med.wanfangdata.com.cn/UpLoad/Files/202003/43f8625d4dc74e42bbcf24795de1c77c.pdf).

We should be careful but that study might as well say that trump is a lizard person. Don't trust anything from China. Period.
