I’d have to open up “War as I knew it”, which is Patton’s diary on WWII to get exact quotes, but to summarize he saw the Soviets as a problem and soon to be enemy. He advocated to Eisenhower and Truman to push the Soviets out of Europe due to Allied Superiority (I’m not sure if he was aware of the bomb). However, Truman didn’t have the political appetite to continue the war against the Soviets, and I’m not 100% sure of Eisenhower’s view. Patton was very outspoken against the Soviets and often got himself in trouble because of it.
