Jersey City imposed a curfew on Bars at 10PM on Thursday 3/12, while NYC kept theirs open over the subsequent weekend. BDB and Cuomo are to blame for NYC rapid spread, they made some awful decisions leading up to this mess.
But they were all in encouraging people to get their collective asses to all the "lunar new year" celebrations the previous month. They brought it on themselves.
Heard a story here in the corn belt, fairly large Midwestern city...a bartender put a combination lock on his back door when the bars were closed. He lets certain customers have the combination and they can sneak in for a drink. Just anecdotal but from someone who would know.
